The ImageTools Menu
This menu provides functions for accessing image display features of the
VTT.
Layers
Opens the Layers window which controls
the relationship between multiple images which are layered on top of one
another.
Image Display Controls
Opens the Image Tools window. It will
open with the Color Controls tab selected.
Image Information
Opens the Image Tools window.
It will open with the Information tab selected.
Modify FOV Aperture List
Opens the FOV Aperture List window which allows you to modify which apertures
are displayed when the FOV is toggled on. From here you can choose
to display all apertures, turn whole instruments on or off, open
the menu for an instrument and choose specific apertures, or return to
the "Default" set of apertures. If you have the FOV option on, you will
see the parallel apertures come and go as you click in the check boxes.
Negative Image
Toggles the display of the current image as a negative of the original
image.
Show Exposures
Toggles the display of apertures outlines in the target area.
Show Exposure Fiducial Points
Toggles marking the fiducial point of the displayed apertures with a dot.
The fiducial point is the point in the aperture where the targeted position
(RA, Dec) will be placed.
Show Observation Labels
Toggles the display of exposure labels. These can be useful when working
with multiple exposures.
Show Observation Circles and U3 Indicator
Toggles the display of the observation circles and U3 axis indicator. This is useful for viewing
the target location and displaying the orientation constraints. The
objects in the inner circle will be observed reguardless of
orientation and the objects between the inner and outer circles may be
observed depending on orientation.)
Show Entire FOV
Toggles the display of the current observatory's entire field-of-view (FOV),
with the target position at the fiducial point of the current aperture.
Enabling this option causes the "Show Exposures" option to be turned
on.
Toggles the display of the target crosshair.
Show Grid
Overlays a world coordinate system grid on the image.
Show PosTarg X/Y Indicators
Toggles the display of the aperture's X and Y axes (which is the
coordinate system for PosTarg offsets).
Show PosTarg Labels
Toggles the display of a line between the fiducial point of the
aperture and the target (when there is a PosTarg offset for the exposure).
Show Exposure Patterns
Toggles the display of all the subexposures of a pattern.
Show Exposure Parallels
Toggles the display of parallel exposures.
Zoom In
Shortcut Key: Control Numpad +
Zooms into the target area by a factor of two. The center of the image
is not changed (as opposed to zooming with the Zoom
Tool, which centers on the selection point).
Zoom Out
Shortcut Key: Control Numpad -
Zooms out from the target area by a factor of two. The center of the
image is not changed (as opposed to zooming with the Zoom
Tool, which centers on the selection point).
Reset View
Shortcut Key: Control Enter
Returns the target area to normal magnification (1.0X) and re-centers
the image on the current view.
