We have developed a set of computer-based
inquiry tools and laboratory "experiments" aimed
at high school students to promote learning of physics and chemistry with
spectroscopy. By inquiry, we refer to engaging the student's prior knowledge
in the process of learning new scientific content.
These web pages describe the scientific content and process skills
addressed by these materials.
We encourage you to explore the material here. Everything is
freely disseminated, either through these web pages or upon request.
Educators, please visit this
link for educators for a more detailed discussion
of all the classroom materials that we have developed.
Our program is run by university faculty, PhD students, and high school
educators with a passion for educating secondary students in science. The
activities are primarily
funded by the National Science Foundation which is
committed to education in all areas of science and engineering, specifically
through an NSF CAREER grant AST-0548180.
