| Lectures for Grade 5 Science: | |
Starting in 2009, JXP began a series of lectures in Grade 5 classrooms tailored to the science curriculum of California. These have been well received by the students and teachers alike. The lectures are designed to provide a mixture of content and inquiry. For the latter, the students are asked and encouraged to develop hypotheses to explain everyday aspects of science that they have experienced (e.g. the shining of the Sun). I plan to continue to develop these lectures and also produce new ones in the coming years. |
