We are developing laboratory experiments for secondary education using the principles of inquiry learning. It is our goal to design ~10 of these in the coming year and we encourage input/guidance from the community for new designs, curricula, etc. In general, we aim for a lesson of ~1hr duration to be performed by teams of 2-3 students on a single computer.

An Introduction to Light, Spectroscopy, and Temperature This experiment introduces the basics of spectroscopy (wavelength vs brightness), enables the students to explore the spectral properties of several astronmical sources to investigate temperature and spectral lines.
